The overall population of Burbank has some post-secondary education with 29 percent of residents 25 and older having completed a Bachelor degree or other advanced college degree. Highschool graduates make up 83.1 percent of the population. Only 7.5 percent of the population age 25 or older has less than 9th grade.

Burbank has 11 elementary schools, three middle schools, three highschools, and three adult education facilities.

Postsecondary institutions include five private, for-profit two-year colleges. These are Elegante Beauty College, MC Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts, Professional Pilot Training, Ross Business College, Weist-Baron-Hill School of Television. Burbank also has one private not-for-profit two-year college called the Film Industry Workshops Inc., andd one private four-year college called Woodbury University that offer Bachelors and Masters degrees.
